Riverdale Reads

Pedro Espada Jr., state senator elect for parts of Kingsbridge, Kingsbridge Heights and Fieldston, might dash Democrats' hopes of taking over the Senate for the first time in seven decades.

The Riverdale-Kingsbridge area is expected to get a new school in the city Department of Education's revised, scaled-back, five-year capital plan.

The New York Post reports that Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrión Jr. has had to cut 16 of his 77 staffers due to mandatory belt tightening.

To Assemblyman Jose Rivera,

At this time we wish to express our sincerest thanks for your service and commitment as the "Leader" of the Democratic Party of the Bronx in allowing such a "jackass" who calls himself a Democrat, Pedro Espada Jr. into the NY State Senate. Espada has exhibited selfishness unlike no other elected official. You really should be applauded this time Mr. Rivera. All Democrats, especially Latinos, statewide should be eternally in your debt.

Signed,
Bronx Democrats

PS. What an embarrassment!!!!
