Fading Ad Blog posted photos last weekend of — what else — a fading ad, painted decades ago on a brick wall next to Stella D’Oro Bakery, for Ritz Cleaners & Tailors, once located on West 238th Street.
The painted ad even includes an old-school telephone exchange, KI-3, for Kingsbridge.
The photos can be seen here.
Does anyone remember this Kingsbridge tailor?

Diaper days
The New York state Legislative Office Building in Albany joined such estimable facilities as the Skyview Shopping Center’s Dunkin’ Donuts in recently adding diaper changing tables, the Legislature announced Monday.
The Riverdale Press reported not too long ago that moms on the move — many of whom can be found in Riverdale, as in the state Legislature — often have trouble finding a place to change the poopy diapers of their someday-as-powerful offspring.
Diaper-changing dads will also get help completing their duties (pun intended) — changing tables are going into men’s rooms on each floor, too.
"It is vitally important that the bathrooms in public buildings fit the needs of all New Yorkers. These newly redesigned facilities mark an important step along that path. I am confident these improvements will encourage more people to enter the L.O.B. and become participants in government. I'd like to thank the Legislative Women's Caucus for taking the lead on this issue and working to get these changes made," state Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno said in a statement.
Is the baby-friendly phenomenon a boom or a bubble?
