Rabbi Weiss lets a woman lead - again
The Jewish Week is reporting the Rabbi Avi Weiss of Riverdale's HIR (Hebrew Institute of Riverdale) recently allowed a woman to lead a Friday-night service, with both men and women in the pews. This comes on the heels of Rabbi Weiss' decision to promote Sara Hurwitz to rabba, which stirred quite a storm in some corners of the Orthodox world.
