There will an education forum tonight in Washington Heights at which panel members will discuss mayoral control of schools, teacher layoffs, funding and other topics.
United Federations of Teachers President Michael Mulgrew, Chancellor Merryl Tisch, Deputy Chancellor Santiago Tavares and Clara Hemphill of InsideSchools.org will speak at 7 p.m. in the Fort Washington Collegiate Church, 729 W. 181st St.
The evening is sponsored by state Sen. Adriano Espaillat.
